A lot depends on much you are willing to walk. I%26#39;m not familiar with the Paris pass, but if you walk between museums I would find it hard to believe it would pay for itself. You would just buy a carnet of 10 discounted tickets. Likewise, the hop on, hop off bus would be a value for those who don%26#39;t want to walk. My husband and I walked all the time - it was the way to see Paris.

Search Paris Pass in the search window to find advice that has been given before.

The Museum Pass we found to be a great value. You do not need to order ahead - you will probably pay extra if you do. Just get it at a tourist information booth at the airport or a small museum.

Be sure you either have and use your Museum Pass for Versailles (unfortunately they only come in 2, 4 or 6 day passes, not a 3 day) or else order tickets on-line. The line can be very long to buy tickets. I don%26#39;t believe the Museum Pass covers the musical show, so you may need to order tickets anyway.

There is no need to buy the passes in advance. You probably would do best with a Museum Pass, which you can buy at CDG or at most of the museums it covers, and a carnet of metro tickets, which you can get at any metro station.
