Restaurants on Sunday

We will be in Avignon for 3 days and plan on visiting Marseille for an afternoon/evening. The only day that works with our schedule is Sunday, but I%26#39;ve read most restaurants are closed on that day. Any hope of a nice restaurant in the Vieux Port area being open on Sunday? If so, any recommendations?

Many thanks.

The only one I could find is the Restaurant Victor Café: follow this link I am sure you will like what you see...!

Let me know!

Thank you, LouGari, for your response. I did go to the link and Cafe Victor looks very interesting. No menu to look at yet, but I will definitely check back closer to our trip and investigate. Our day in Marseille works best for Sunday but, if necessary, we might be able to change things around and go Saturday.

Thanks again.

You are welcome

From what I read Sunday is brunch but I am quite sur with southern French notes, and they do grilled meats outside at night in the summer.

You scroll your mouse over the fork on the left hand side and it gives you the online menu.

Duh, if I had played with the site longer I might have stumbled onto the menu info. Very clever. Menu looks very inventive (at least to me) so definitely something to consider.

Sunday brunch wouldn%26#39;t work as we will be there in the afternoon, but I think I can rearrange our days and try to get to Marseille on a Saturday. Sounds like a better day all around. We are in the early stages of planning, so all this helps immensely.

You%26#39;ve been very helpful.

We are just back from Marseille and all the restaurants around the old port were open on the Sunday.

Thank you, that is great to hear. Sunday works better for us, so maybe don%26#39;t have to rearrange the schedule after all.
