We are currently in Marseille and have to be in Paris on Sunday. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on an intersting route to drive and perhaps a few stops including hotels.

Have you only stayed in Marseille or have you already visited places in Provence?

We started in Nice and made our way to Marseille. Have not been to Provence but would love to see the area.
Do you have any suggestions??

Well, yes, you are in Provence and personally I would explore as much as I can of it during the days you have: Cassis, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles, Gordes, Les Baux, Saint Remy de Provence... Then drive a strait shot to Paris, about 8 hours from Marseille. All the above are within reasonable driving distance if you stay based in Marseille or move to Aix-en-Provence, which would be better.
I presume you have a rental vehicle, so you could even consider dropping it off in Marseille Aix or Avignon station and taking the TGV train which is a 3h ride to Paris.
Doing some guess work as you don%26#39;t give a lot of detail.
On the road to Paris not a whole lot without straying far off and making this a major project. Obvious stop along the way is Dijon in Burgundy wine region. Having done that road a zillion times I see it as a %26quot;get it over with asap thing%26quot; rather than a leisurely sightseeing drive! Others may tell you differently.

As you presunably won%26#39;t want the car in Paris, I would support the idea of taking the train for the bulk of the journey on Sunday. If not from Marseille or Avignon, I suppose driving up to Lyon and oernighting there would be an option.
