My boyfriend and I are going to Europe in July/August.
We%26#39;ll be spending 7 full days (and 8 nights) in Paris. (And one of these days is my birthday, hehe.)
Ideally, our plan so far is to spend one day in Versailles, one day in EuroDisney, two days doing trips to Normandy, two days doing museums and walking around, and one day relaxing and doing whatever.
We%26#39;d also have the day we arrive and the day we leave to walk around a little also.
So some days we won%26#39;t be in the room, but some days we will be there a lot.
And we%26#39;re on a bit of a budget. Preferably under $100 per night.
I%26#39;ve been looking for places to stay, and I%26#39;ve found a few hotels that look nice.
I%26#39;ve also been trying to look for a bed and breakfast. I think a BnB would be the nicest, but the problem I%26#39;m having is I don%26#39;t know what sites to use to search, and how reliable they are.
Does anyone know of any nice Bed and Breakfasts in Paris? Or a site where I can look through some?
And I did look briefly at renting an apartment for a week. I%26#39;m very intrigued by one on VRBO. The only thing is, I don%26#39;t want to get caught by extra charges for cleaning. Or utilities, if they charge for them.
(If this is too long to read, I%26#39;m basically looking for help in finding a place to stay for 8 nights, preferrably in a bed and breakfast.)
Also, my train question.
Since we want to do 2 trips to Normandy, I was wondering how long the train ride there is.
And about how much does it cost?
We%26#39;ll be leaving Paris for Brussels. I just want reassurance that we can do it, and it%26#39;s easy, really.

You inquiry is a bit complex with quite a few variables.
For getting from London to Normandy, see
seat61.com/France.htm#London%20to%20Normandy
Once in Normandy, you could rent a car, but it would probably be more adviseable to arrange a bus tour or two. It would be far more practical to head for Normandy on arrival in Paris and spend the night there, rather than take two day trips (due to the distance).
There%26#39;s a B%26amp;B highly recommended here - see
tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187147-i14-k27921…
Be advised that $100/night is a very low budget, only about €69 at the moment.

Since you are coming from the US, try Vacation in Paris (www.vacationinparis.com) for possible apartment help. They are based in New Jersey, and you can call and talk over with them your budget, the charges, etc. before you decide. They have a few that are quite inexpensive (and you can pay by credit card, in USD). Your planned trip is not far off, however, so jump on this right away (that goes for all your planning, actually).
You are planning to do an awful lot of running around during that trip - you might want to see whether you can do just one trip to Normandy, and spend what otherwise would be train costs on some of the rest of your budget. That would give you more time, and a more relaxed time, in Paris.
As to budget help - there are many inexpensive ways to stay in Paris (getting an apartment is a good one, not only for the potential savings on room costs but also because you can eat in for at least some meals, rather than always going to cafes). Try the crepe vendors or the take-away crepe stands near Notre Dame for good and filling food at very reasonable prices. Also, take-away baguette sandwiches and small quiches at charcuteries, etc.
