My parnter and I will be visiting France in September. We will start start in Paris and want to know which region (Bordeaux or Burgundy) would be a better experience for first time tourists to either of those regions. Proximity to one or the other from Paris is not an issue. We are interested in scenery, wine tasting and food of that region. Unfortunately, we can only squeeze one region into our travel plans and would like to know if one region outweighs the other for the reasons I%26#39;ve mentioned above. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Both areas are attractive and both will offer much pleasure. Ultimately, your choice depends on the sort of landscape you enjoy most for cycling (hilly or flat), the sort of wine you enjoy, etc., and of course you are the best judge of that.
In considering Bordeaux, you would probably want to focus on two areas in the region: the Médoc and Saint-Emilion. These are the most popular cycling choices here. The former is flat, while the latter can be more hilly; both will take you along some of the greatest wine-producing properties in the world.
