Does anyone know what to expect weather wise in late July / August for this region? I%26#39;ve googled it am more confused now than before. Does it rain much? Are unheated pools warm enough for wimps to swim?
Is it hot and sunny? We were in Charente last summer and were a bit disappointed with the weather.
Any local knowledge out there?
Or is it much safer to go for Languedoc / provence??

I live in St Antonin Noble Val which is about 20 mins drive from Cordes. Normally the weather would be fine around 28 degrees - maybe even too hot and sunny for some people.
If the pool is above ground and in full sun then it should be fine for wimps to swim in! In St Antonin Noble Val there is a pool open to the public in June/July/August which is heated if that suits you better!

On the other hand... we were eating outdoors in mid August in Caracassonne
last year and I had to nip back to the hotel for sweaters... the waiter said it had been cool for several days...
