Disneyland and Paris

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonably priced 3 star hotel that is both convenient for Disneyland and also for some sightseeing of Paris. We are planning on 4 nights in August and are a family of 5 - 2 adults, 2 teenage kids and 1 child (11 years)travelling from Nepal.

How many days are you planning for Disneyland.. I have taken two of my children, one when he was 14 and one when she was 12( two seperate trips). Both kids thought one day was enough, but I could see many kids prefering two days.

I would choose to stay in Paris and take the train to Disney only for the days. The evening in Paris are lovely, more and better choices of where to eat,, a nice boat cruise to see the monuments lit up.

What is your budget ( in euros) for hotel,, a three star will cost up from 200 euros,, but, you will not be able to get 5 in a room, so you will likely need two rooms.. There are some nice 2 star hotels that will be more budget friendly.

thanks for your reply. I was thinking that we need to do two nights at Disney and the rest of the time sightseeing of Paris. I was hoping for a hotel around US$ 100 per night per room so may be we have to settle for a two star hotel and take 2 rooms. I would welcome any suggestions. As long as its clean and friendly i guess its ok. How long does it take to get from paris to Disney ? thanks again.

Travel time between Paris and Disney varies( depends where in Paris you stay) but , you are looking at between 30 -40 minutes usually.

Finding a hotel in central Paris for that rate will be tough( but perhaps not impossible) that is less then 100 euros.

The best I could see, entering fictional dates for August (14-18) was Hotel Claude Bernard,, which I have stayed at and it is clean and well located.. but rooms are smaller and basic. Does have a/c and includes breakfast though. I saw a quad room , with the addition of a bed,, rated at 235 a night( euros). That is quite a bit more then you wanted to pay..

I suggest you repost on the %26quot;Paris%26quot; forum( right now you are are on France forum, so your post is being missed by many who go straight to Paris forums. I would post something like %26quot; clean budget central hotel for 5 %26quot; . I am sure many will suggest an apartment for your group, and that is not a bad idea .

Good luck, if I see something good I will try and get back to you.

Steve, also forgot,, post on the %26quot;Marne-la-Vallee %26quot; forum, that is the %26quot;Disneyland%26quot; forum really( as that is where DL actually is..

Someone may be able to suggest a hotel near Disneyland, but not one of the Disney hotels.. that will be cheaper, just check about transport to the park.

I live in Marne-la-Vallee, and you should count on an hour on the train (RER-A) line from Disney to central Paris.

Do a search on hotels in Marne-la-Vallee or Val d%26#39;Europe -- I%26#39;ve heard there%26#39;s a Kyriad close to Disney that%26#39;s very good for families. (I%26#39;m a tough source on hotels -- I live here, so I sleep in my own bed, and not in a hotel!)
