In Grasse and would like to visit some flower fields. The one our guide book suggests is only open on Tuesday and the staff at our hotel has said they%26#39;ve never heard of people visiting flower fields around this town. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thank you!

There are some rose growers but I%26#39;m pretty sure they are only rarely open to the public to actually visit the places - one was open a couple of weekends back
I%26#39;d suggest gong to La Bastide du parfumeur in Mouans sartoux -its a botanical garden devoted to perfume - jasmin , tuberose , roses etc - and has small fields of perfume flowers.
you can go on the train to mouans-sartoux from grasse or on the 600 bus

Thank you for the quick response!

Let us know what you thought of it if you go - the jasmine should be in bloom with its intoxicating scent at the moment

From their site it looked like La Bastide was closed on Sunday so we headed to our next destination, Nice. At least we got to visit a perfume boutique there - what a nice treat. Thank you again for your help, though!
