travelling to Holiday Green

Hi selkieNice, thanks for your advice, can I pick your brains a bit more please? We have decided to get the train tickets when we get to Nice so the next question is - do we go to St Raphael or Frejus? I still can%26#39;t get the summer bus times from both destinations and for 1bis? Also, as we will have our luggage with us would it be sensible to gat a taxi to Holiday Green from the station? I have no idea how much it would cost and everyone says that the taxis are very expensive, I%26#39;m all for getting the bus, I assume that they cater for travellers with luggage?

Do you have any idea how much a return boat trip to St Tropez is? We used to go every summer but haven%26#39;t been for 10 years so would like to see it again!!

Many thanks

I would go to frejus by a direct train and either bus or taxi from there - its the closest station.

I%26#39;m not sure of your exact dates of travel but there are several direct trains in the morning and some in the afternoon and evening

I have no idea how much the taxis would be , I%26#39;d probably budget about 30 euros to be on the safe side and use the buses after that.

The reason the campsite gives st raphael as closest station is probably because its the closest tgv station to cater for folk coming from paris by tgv train

its 23 euros return to st tropez from either st raphael or frejus [ferry goes on restricted dates]

frejus/st tropez needs to be reserved

thanks for the info selkieNice, one more thing, can you tell me what time the buses stop running both in Nice and StRaphael/Frejus as one of the guide books says 9pm and that sounds a bit early?

Many thanks for all your help

The buses in Nice finish about 9 except for the airport bus 98 and the night buses.

The trams run till about 2am

In Frejus/ st raphael the buses are also likely to finish early but for each bus you would need to check the timetables

The summer timetables might have later buses serving the campsites though they haven%26#39;t been posted yet.

Hi selkieNice

Thats a bit early, I shall have to investigate the tram times as we want so spend the evening in Nice and it looks like a long walk from the hotel?

The Holiday Green site says that they run a free bus in July August (we are going 25th July for two weeks) but our holiday company (Regency) says they don%26#39;t so shall have to wait until we get there as taxis are expensive, I believe? Do you know much about this?

Many thanks

Holiday Green DO run a free bus during July and August but it only goes to Aqualand and to Frejus plage. It usually leaves Holiday Green at about 10 ish and returns about 4ish.
