hi im staying at chateau des marias in chambord area late july as was wondering were we could get a train to paris for a day trip rather than taking the car -all comments welcome.

Blois is the nearest town of any size, and the obvious place. Trains to Paris Austerlitz take around 2 hours for €24. Check times and costs at www.tgv-europe.com

I don%26#39;t think you would have difficulty in getting on a train, but you might get a cheaper price if you book ahead at the site I referenced.
