Airport Hotel at CDG

Hi we will be returning to CDG on june 16 for our flight back to the states. We are reserved at the Marriott, but someone suggested the Hilton is more convenient. Does anyone have experience with these 2 htoesl or a better airport hotel.

Also, is it easy to turn rental cars back into CDG airport?

Thanks,

we hated the Hilton and would recommend the Novotel for cheap or the Sheraton for expensive (we got the Hilton on priceline)

we found the signing VERY confusing at CDG for finding the hotels -- so I suggest getting an airport map and knowing what to expect -- we were late, and tired and ended up having trouble finding the road where hotels were -- we could see them, we just couldn%26#39;t drive to them

that is so so very helpful. I have only had to drive to the airport in Provence which is very easy, so thanks for the tip. I like the novotel. so maybe we will try that.

Thanks again,

Suitehotel at Charles de Gaulle. All rooms are 30 square meters big, a rarity in Paris, and there%26#39;s a bathroom and a half, a kitchenette, and a bedroom and sitting room (with a day bed) with a curtain that can be drawn so that the person sleeping in the bed has total privacy.

In one bathroom, there were two showers and a bathtub, sink, and toilet. In the other there was a toilet and a sink.

I was one person and loved the place. I think, on that trip, I stayed three days and commuted into Paris on the bus that goes to the Opera House.

A friend of mine, who was a manager for Accor back then, booked me into it as he said it was a kind of new concept when I stayed there in 2004. It%26#39;s a self-service hotel.

So, go on the Accor Hotel website. There were two on the same road. The one I stayed at was the one with the restaurant across from it and one hotel on either side of it. I think there%26#39;s a photo of the front of the place on the website. Happy Travels!

It%26#39;s Suite Hotel Paris CDG Nord 2. You can google it under just Suite Hotel Paris. I forgot to add that there%26#39;s also a free shuttle to and from the hotel from the airport or you can call a taxi. There were some people taking taxis. I took the shuttle to the hotel, but a taxi from the hotel to the airport as my flight was at around 6:00AM. I ordered a taxi the night before. Happy Travels!

IF you are flying out of Terminal 2 then the Sheraton is the way to go. It is directly in terminal, with no worries about going outside and waiting for a shuttle. Depending on your flight times you could go check-in and get rid of the luggage and then spend some time back in the room before the flight.

We stayed at the Marriott 2 years ago and liked it just fine. Huge suite, ice cold air conditioning (which was nice after 2 weeks of lukewarm Euro aircon) and about a 5 minute shuttle ride to our terminal.

We just stayed at the airport holiday inn and thought it was very nice. I posted a review yesterday so it should appear shortly.

We found it difficult to return the rental car. The hotels seem to be on the back side of the airport and we had a terrible time finding our way to the front side. I think we went in circles for 30 minutes. Make sure you allow lots of time!

Just so you can compare prices - I have booked into the Hilton via Priceline for $120US for the night before our flight out. It seems convenient to the terminal and good reviews generally on TripAdvisor.
