We are a senior Aussie couple who need to travel from Paris to Rome to board a cruise ship at Civitavecchia in Sept. We have 5 days to get there and would like to take a train (through the mountains?) with stopovers on the way. Any suggestions?

One of the most beautiful places in the world is Muerren (Murren) Switzerland. It is just south of Interlachen in Switzerland. I%26#39;m not sure about a route, but even if you had to backtrack from Zurich it would be worth it.
